NurseNow caregiver support

Live-in Caregivers in Kenya

Arrange ongoing personal care and companionship at home, with a clear schedule, agreed responsibilities and protected rest time.

What live-in care means

A live-in caregiver stays in the household under an agreed arrangement. This can help a family maintain consistent daily routines for a loved one who needs assistance. Living in the home does not mean working continuously for 24 hours; active hours, breaks, overnight needs and replacement cover should be agreed before placement.

Daily support you can discuss

Discuss bathing and dressing assistance, toileting support, meal preparation for the care recipient, companionship and mobility assistance appropriate to the caregiver’s training. Share the person’s preferences, routines and any existing care instructions.

Prepare the home

Explain sleeping arrangements, meals, bathroom access and any equipment already used. Agree who supervises the arrangement, how family updates are shared and who covers the caregiver’s rest days. If frequent overnight assistance is needed, discuss a shift arrangement instead of expecting uninterrupted work.

Before requesting a placement

Provide the location, anticipated start date, duration, household circumstances and level of daily assistance. NurseNow will need to confirm provider availability, suitability, responsibilities and the quotation before care starts.
